"Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Horse & Farrier. Room was excellent with great facilities , Comfy bed , iron and ironing board , hairdryer and lovely big shower. full size fridge and wine glasses and a sink complete with fairy liquid, great if wanting to eat in as there was also knives and forks in a drawer. We had a meal on the second night which was really good. The staff were amazing ,really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a bus stop directly outside and buses...

"Very well run hotel on the edge of Carlisle. Host was helpful and friendly. Clean room, comfortable bed. Lots of tea, coffee and biscuits! Great breakfast. Plenty pubs and restaurants easily walkable. Would recommend it and will definitely stay there again."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. The evening meal was very good, as was the breakfast. Nice clean room which looked to recently refurbished to a good standard. Ohh, and loads of free parking on site. If you should venture into the old smithy wedding village you get 10% off if you're staying at the Gretna Hall Hotel so it's worth mentioning this at the till."
