Good location, lovely rooms and friendly staff.

The room was very clean and perfectly adequate. Paula was fantastic!! I was soaked from the rain, on arrival, and she immediately got me a couple of towels to dry off. She showed me around, and on informing her that I would not be there for breakfast, she prepared me some food to take with me. There was no tv in the room, but all I wanted was to sleep, before the next part of my journey the following day, so I was ok with that. Based in a fabulous converted old house with an inner courtyard based in the centre of La Laguna within four minutes walk of the cathedral. We had originally booked Manila suite but, on reading reviews about noise (although apparently it has now been double glazed) and speaking with the property, we decided to upgrade to the Amaro Pargo suite, which was lovely and spacious and at the back of the property, with a large balcony overlooking the inner courtyard and beautiful glazed balcony...

Had a lovely time at the Mencey. Staff absolutely lovely and so friendly, hotel both grand in its colonnaded porches and cool inner courtyard, and comfortable, with many places to have drinks and food in the shade and chill. Spa very well kitted out (extra €18 a day) breakfast spread faultless. Grilled Seafood served on the pool terrace is particularly good. Pool is great, using salt water instead of chlorine. Really comfortable, clan and modern room. Roof top pool and bar were amazing. Breakfast could do with adding baked beans, sausages and tomatoes.

Excellent location,close to the shops,bus and tram stop and main bus station is 10 min by bus. Property itself very clean,all the rooms,kitchen,bathroom got all the amenities what you need. During the night very quiet, even you are next to the road,where buses and cars driving 24/7. Reception very friendly and always ready to help, when you need some assistance I was very happy with my stay and probably will be back in the future

We wanted to be in the thick of things and this hotel was ideal. Less than five minutes walk took us to three beautiful shopping malls, the city's bus station and the hop on hop off tourist bus which stopped right outside the hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel. Breakfast was 16 euros a head and there was a perfect pavement cafe just behind the hotel serving coffee and a delicious pastry which suitred us better. Well Maintained hotel with nice rooms and comfy beds. The shower attachment was a bit off, but I’d asked for a bath so I was fine as that was good. Nice pool area and good hotel buffet

We had a lovely few days staying in the hotel. The breakfast was lovely and the freshly squeezed orange juice a nice addition. The best tapas bars are near the Tower, the Venetian plus the tapas bar next door. Each place superb.

We spent 16 nights at this hotel for our holiday. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful- reception, restaurant staff, room cleaning. We were half board and enjoyed the dining when (on most days) it was the meal of the day- buffet was less impresasive. Limited choice (two of each course) but good ingredients prepared to restaurant standards; well presented with waiter service. We stayed for 14 nights in January & thoroughly enjoyed it. The Hotel was light & spacious & beautifully furnished. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard & not expensive. An easy walk to the Ramblas or the shopping area as well as to the sea. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a really lovely time staying at this hotel, staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Room was really nice, breakfast lovely, great shops and near restaurants. I would stay here again great hotel and location.

As a solo traveller. I felt.safe. My room.was very clean. Including shower. Breakfast was ok. Ashame no tea and coffee in room Fridge was clean. If driving they have underground parking Cheap daily rate Staff very friendly and speak English. I will certainly go nack. Reasonable.price Sunbathe on the roof also. Hotel secured at night Guest have to buzz in.
