it was a very bad experience children were running around during breakfast and dinner could not get a plate. the first room they gave me someone else was already in it. the next room had a flood, and the third room had a million flies and i got bit all over my body. i only book this room after leaving the Rio and if i would have only come here it would had mess up my whole experience in DR.

Amazing!
My stay at Caribe Deluxe Princess was amazing! We had other plans in Destin, FL but due to a hurricane warning we decided to book this trip last minute the night before, and we are so glad we did! Our check-in experience was excellent. Ambar from the Front Desk was super friendly. She was able to modify my reservation last minute from 1 to 2 persons and also gave us dinner reservations for our full stay. Enrique from the lobby bar was always down for a great conversation and always had a smile on his face. His cocktails were delicious! Willington at the pool bar was also amazing! It was our first time in an all-inclusive and in Punta Cana we are already planning to come back. Thank you for a relaxing and amazing stay!

Enjoyed our stay, but definitely a mixed bag:
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a lot of enjoyable activities for couples and families. Instead of writing an extensive review, I’ll list our pros and cons below: PROS: - beautiful property - well-maintained and clean - creative and fun activities for couples and families - beautiful Bávaro Beach within mere footsteps of the pools and bars - food was OK - beautiful nature and wildlife that roam the grounds for nature lovers CONS: - rude service from restaurant and food workers in the various shops (oftentimes only seemed friendly when tipped) - endless and aggressive harassment from vendors both on the hotel premises and on the beaches - difficult process for booking the restaurants; they were almost always entirely booked and several were completely closed during our stay - food could have been better - no clear labeling for what is considered an “exclusive” amenity - the property is very large and requires a shuttle to get around if you’re not keen on walking Overall: we enjoyed our stay but I wouldn’t come back to this resort.

I loved the resort, but could improve a bit.
From arrival the experience in Caribe Deluxe Princess was impressive. The grounds of the property are well maintained and have plenty to do. Staff we're very friendly throughout the stay. The pools are awesome and the beach is great. My inconvenience were that even if I had a reservation for the Brazilian restaurant, the staff had me wait for 30 minutes, and even then I couldn't be seated because they were full. I had to leave the restaurant and find somewhere else to eat as my blood sugar was running dangerously low. I also did not like that when ordering transportation, like UBER, I could not be picked up or dropped off in the main lobby. Front security was pretty rude and ensure I understood that he was going to make me walk from front gate to the hotel at 3am. Even if the area is safe, being defensive with the guest is something I did not understand. There should be 2 guards at night to ensure guest could be dropped in the lobby without having unwanted people to walk in to the hotel. The food in El Pilón was not good. The food in the Asian and Mexican restaurants was good. The buffet makes good breakfasts and pastas. There are artisan salesmen on some days. They we're very pushy to sell their products and this made me uncomfortable. They would not take no for an answer. Tours sold on the properties are not always what the staff sells. I went on a catamaran tour and the waves we're too i te se to enjoy, but the sales man told me it was a perfect day before booking.

Pros: amazing cuisine, different daily options at the buffet, chefs deserve a raise! Overall., the appearance of the resort is good, the renovations are noticeable and general upkeep of the landscaping is great. It is an ecological resort so there is a lot of natural habitat onsite and the animals are beautiful to see. Cons: housekeeping staff is terrible, they do not care about the upkeep of the rooms. There was mold on the couches due to the humidity. The pillows smelled musty and when asked to change them, the housekeeper never returned with new pillows and gave us attitude. Things were missing in our room when we checked in and had to complain to management to replace them. Very disappointing. Some of the staff at the buffet are rude and truly just there for the paycheck, they don’t care about providing good customer service or making the tourists feel at home.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at an all inclusive. I’ve visited dozens of all inclusives in DR and this is the absolute worst. The food options were very limited, and the quality was poor. I suffered from food poisoning on my second to last day here. The drinks were watered down and very inconsistent in taste. Sometimes you’d get lucky and get a nice drink. The rooms were also very dirty and it often took housekeeping a long time to clean the rooms during the day. The layout of the bathroom was also very strange and didn’t allow for any privacy. I have nothing nice to say about this resort. It’s awful.

The entertainment is good. The buffet is not good at all (rubbish) The only food that wasn’t bad was Italian and the hibachi was ok. The staffs are TERRIBLE in the dining room( needs training). I think they are prejudiced towards black when I observe the way they attend to others, I asked 4 different staffs for fork and instead they walk by as if I was bothering them. The toilet was leaking and wasn’t flushing properly, they said they would fix it and no one showed up. Coffee maker doesn’t work, flies in bathroom, dust on the light decors. The dirty pillows that are decor on the bed, and the blow dryer doesn’t work. I didn’t even bother to complain as it was my birthday and I just didn’t want to deal with anyone or problem, hence my reason for traveling alone. Staffs in the bar was great. Had a massage and the lady didn’t massage my neck as if it wasn’t apart of my body. However, I ignored all this but knew I would leave a review. Didn’t wanna ruin my trip by just complaining.

The food at the buffet was terrible - undercooked, watery eggs and a lot of unidentifiable meats. Very limited reservations at the restaurants - it was the only half decent food but almost impossible to get in. Mosquitos and little flies were EVERYWHERE inside the bedrooms. No matter how many you killed, there were 50 more the next day. The staff spoke very little to no English - hard to communicate with anyone. The transport/luggage guys were very helpful and happy but the front desk staff was definitely not. You can’t flush the toilet paper in the toilets or get any of the tap water on your mouth. The only real positive thing was the beach was beautiful and right outside the rooms! Other than that, it was like a very large motel.

Property was nice. Definitely 3 out of 5. Buffet was better than asian a la cart. Other restaurant average. Some restaurants/bars were platinum so restricted and a upcharge for meals. Alcohol was ok. Charged for brand names like jim beam level. Beach and pools were clean and well maintained.

The property was pretty. The lobby was very appealing to the eye and the wildlife was wonderful to see. The beach was beautiful but that’s where it ends. The guys on the beach or super aggressive and lie about pricing. Don’t take pics with the parrots or iguanas. Be careful when booking parasailing. The price will either not be told upfront or they will claim they made an error and charge you triple and argue. They will take pics of you with your own phone with parrots and just put them on you and then demand payment. There are no dining options but the Buffet. You have to book way in advance to get a table which is hard to do because you can’t book til you check in. The only options usually are the two platinum club options which charge per person and I feel is forced on you to pay if you don’t want buffet food. The funny thing I noticed when I walked around each night was that the restaurants were all empty. Maybe 2-3 tables were in use. You are forced to eat low quality buffet food. The servers take forever to bring just water. The food at the buffet was just ok. The AC in the room wouldn’t cool the room down. Told the front desk and nothing was fixed. It smelled like a sewer in parts of the room. The towels were stiff and had an odor. If I go to all inclusive I expect to have access to all the food. We all got in contact with something contaminated and let’s just say traveling home was spent on toilets for all four in the group and continued for 3 days!
