Helpful staff on arrival, easy check in, clean room, good facilities, good self service breakfast, perfect accommodation for an overnight stay in the area.

Bed for Head

I simply wanted an overnight stay whilst busy during both days in Bristol. The welcome was friendly, the facilities met my needs and I had a good night’s sleep and a warm shower with good water pressure. It was good to be able to easily park and come and go as I pleased.

Nice and quaint stay at a lovely 18th century inn. Low ceilings, old oak doors and exposed beams! Absolutely amazing for any history buff. Note that the property is undergoing repairs but it's still good for a night's sleep

Lovely old building, exactly what we expected. Its in a housing estate thats the only bir that was strange but it did not spoil our trip. Definitely stay there again.

Disappointing Stay

The hotel is in an old building situated in a residential area. I was given a room right opposite the breakfast room and was awakened early in the morning when the staff came in to set up breakfast. The bedroom was big and old and doesn’t seem well maintained. The small shower cubicle has no space for my own toiletries (hotel doesn’t provide shampoo or conditioner). It’s quite far from Bristol city centre.

Disappointing

Splats of dried shampoo down the radiator in the bathroom, taps rotten with limescale and living woodlice walking around the room. I gave my mobile number to the required contact who meets you and gives you your key. He rang me at 1am by accident!

Unfortunately this quaint, historic B&B is not totally functional for customers. I was very misled about the location, condition of this property on the Expida website. Yes it is quiet and private but it has been recently purchased by new owners in the past 8 months and is very remote to the town of Bristol and is lacking in amenities to current travellers. They are in the process of renovations at present and there is a wonderful selection of breakfast items but after that’s over @ noon the door to the eating area is closed. With no options for customers such as sitting area, kitchen facilities(microwave, sink, drinking water, fridge etc.) as quaint as the sitting area is its of no use to anyone after 12pm. We were booked for 5 nights but left after the first night due to lack of amenities and with my partner being sick no onsite kitchen. We talked to one of the owners the next day as we were exiting the location and waiting for our Uber ride and explained our concerns, but 2 weeks later we have not been contacted by any of the owners and are out 800 euros and having to move to a different location and pay another 1100 euros for 4 nights. With the upcoming renovations I hope future customers will be happy with their stay. But for know I would not recommend staying here.

Start with the ‘negative’- room could definitely use new curtains and a couple of bulbs are dead (though we didn’t need them). Breakfast was excellent- many bigger places could learn from it- great to have fresh fruit and I wish we weren’t meeting friends for lunch- I would have eaten more!

My Stay at Langley Inn

The Hotel was in a good location and near to a couple of pubs. I left a little too early for breakfast. Only one thing but it is only small could have done with more milk in the room only 3 small cartons other than that I will be staying with them again

Fantastic hotell in a calm area. Carefully renovation building from 17th century. Cozy place with all you can ask for of you want a typical British Inn. There are Mats in the stairs an pigeons on the roof and as the owner Said:Witherspoon you love it or you hate it. I definitely love it!

300 years of footsteps : )

Welcome was great for check in as the guy (sorry forgot your name !) was there, but it sounded easy enough if he wasnt , which was good for us. The building is just so historic... which we loved (and being so close to north Bristol which we needed) It was clear from the publicity and the conversation with the guy that this is a work in progress as they have not long taken over the B&B and the now closed pub next door. Breakfast is a continental DIY and was just right . Lovely walking woods across the way, despite being in middle of a housing estate . Downsides for us were our room was a bit tired and bedside tables were sticky - but it was the least expensive and maybe smallest and sheets and towels were spotless (bed comfy also). The floors are VERY creaky but its a 300 yr old house... we could hear our neighbours creaking, snoring and a dog barking lol . The lovely guy at check in warned us about this again (I saw the reviews also) and its just one of the things about old houses. They want to keep the history of the place...which is really important and will make it even more special when work is finished. There was also a fire safety green light on the ceiling all night, so if you struggle with sleeping I would wait until they have renovated...this place will be amazing and we will def come back to try it...if we can afford it ! It will be the place to stay and eat - and a roof terrace eatery will set it apart. Thank you and good luck with it all

Great hotel in an unusual place

The place is very comfortable and offered a very nice breakfast. The only slight issue was that for some of my group, their rooms had a green emergency light permanently on in the line of sight in their rooms, which affected their quality of sleep.

Quiet location in beautiful old building

Lovely old building and very friendly greeting. Good communication. Continental breakfast included in the price but make sure you go early, otherwise you might not get everything on offer.

Fabulous stay, short walk over the park to the village centre for shops, pub and several dinkng options. Great continental breakfast with vegan options too. Shower was good with hood water pressure, bed comfy and new and clean linens. Parking plentiful and wifi signal was good too. Woukd defjnitely stay again when in Bristol working. Glad they've kept as many as the original features as possible. Loved it.
