The hotel rooms have seen better days and the food is OK, but Gairloch Hotel something, it has old school charm. Sat right on top of the beach, with helpful, friendly staff I would definitely come back. Oh, and while breakfast is expensive, it’s not bad at all!

Comfortable stay at a great location

We enjoyed our one night stay in this beautifully located hotel that has seen better days. A proper refurbishment is long overdue! But the staff were very friendly and helpful, the family room for 3 basic but comfortable and we were very lucky with the sunny and warm weather, enjoying the nearby beach.

Old fashioned quite expensive hotel - but totally worth it. Reminded me very much of the type of hotels I would stay in with my parents on holiday as a child. Large dining room which served dinner and breakfast - always pretty well attended. A lively bar, with a good range of whisky. There was live music on our first night too in the bar. The view from our window was amazing - looking right over the loch itself - you just cross the road and you can go down onto a small beach when the tide is out. I was able to bird watch from my window. I really loved this hotel it was so nice.
