Anyone planning a trip to Hawaii, including traveling between the Hawaiian Islands, should review current State of Hawaii and County government guidance, as this information changes frequently and may vary from island to island.The Pre-Travel Testing Program began on October 15, 2020. All individuals, both residents and visitors, arriving from out-of-state to Hawaii are still subject to a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine.TRAVELERS MUST HAVE NEGATIVE TEST RESULT FROM A TRUSTED TESTING PARTNER BEFORE DEPARTURE FOR HAWAII TO BYPASS 14-DAY QUARANTINE. KAUAI WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PRE-TRAVEL TESTING PROGRAM EFFECTIVE DEC. 2.IMPORTANT UPDATE: Please be aware that effective December 2, 2020 and until further notice, the Island of Kauai will no longer participate in the State of Hawaii’s Pre-Travel Testing Program.In the absence of the Pre-Travel Testing Program, all travelers to the Island of Kauai must quarantine for the mandatory 14-day period upon arrival to Kauai beginning December 2, 2020. The period of mandatory self-quarantine begins from the day an individual enters Kauai and lasts through the earlier of fourteen days, or the duration of the person’s presence on Kauai.Required Online Travel and Health QuestionnaireAll arriving passengers to Hawaii will be required to have their temperatures checked and fill out a mandatory State of Hawaii online travel and health questionnaire. Save time during your arrival screening process by completing it online, no sooner than 24 hours before you depart, and follow all pre-arrival procedures.Quarantine RequirementsAny guest subject to the mandatory 14-day self-quarantine period will be required to remain in their guest room during the quarantine period, and they are only permitted to leave the guest room for medical emergencies or to seek medical care. Further, any such guest is not permitted to have any visitors in their guest room, other than a physician or healthcare provider, during the quarantine period. During any time that the self-quarantine requirements remain in place, please note that, upon your check-in, the resort will be issuing a one-time use only room key for initial access to your guest room. Hotels and resorts are required to immediately notify law enforcement of any quarantine violations, and Aqua-Aston will be abiding by that requirement.Upon check-in at an Aqua-Aston Hospitality managed hotel or resort:Visitors subject to the quarantine mandate will be asked to sign an acknowledgement form, and they will be provided with a single-use key to their guest room.As host, Aqua-Aston Hospitality employees are required by law to report any guest who violates the terms of their self-quarantine to authorities, without a first warning. The following the following services and amenities are limited:Closed:- Fitness Centers and Passes- Ice Machines- Saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and water features- Swimming Pool- Pool Deck chairs removed to comply with social distancing guidelines Suspended:- Maintenance Services- Housekeeping Services- Manager’s Receptions and Mai Tai Parties- Live Entertainment- Guest Programming- Lobby amenities, including water / coffee / tea / fruit- In-room re-use items (magazines, pens, notepads)- Beach amenity re-use items (chairs, boogie boards, floats) Enhancing our Cleaning and Safety Protocols- Implementing Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and government guidelines on health and hygiene standards- Collaborating with our long-term third-party cleaning experts on comprehensive cleaning protocols- Using CDC-approved cleaning materials that are effective against Novel Coronavirus- Sanitizing high-touch surfaces at the front desk after each guest use, including counters, keyboards, payment stations, and key cards- Applying a minimum of 24-hours for guest room sanitization between check-in’s- Using enhanced cleaning procedures in high touch areas in guest rooms, such as light switches, remote controls, and door handles- Ensuring linens, towels and laundry are professionally sanitized at high temperatures and in accordance with CDC and local authority guidelines Protecting the Wellness of Our Guests and Associates- Conducting daily health screenings, including temperature checks, for all associates before they start their shift- Following all safety protocols as directed by local authorities- Providing our associates with personal protective equipment- Ensuring associates receive enhanced safety training and protocols - Providing face masks to our guests upon a guest’s request- Introducing modified, limited contact housekeeping and maintenance services- Ensuring sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer are available at entrances and high traffic areas- Reducing paper and other re-use amenities (like pens, notepads, magazines and guest directories) in guest rooms Practicing Social Distancing- Installing protective screens and shields like Plexiglas at key points of service, like the front desk- Practicing social distancing throughout our managed hotels and resorts- Implementing new serving requirements for foodservice- Placing signage at hotels and resorts with reminders and tips on how to practice social distancing on vacation during check-in, check-out, using the elevator and when spending time in public spacesAston Mahana at Kaanapali is a tranquil tropical retreat that takes full advantage of its beautiful Northern Kaanapali Beach setting.
