Landgoed Tongeren - Canvas Lodge

You will enjoy this beautiful dairy farm in the middle of the woods on the 18th century Tongeren estate. Besides cows, you'll also find sheep, pigs, chicken and horses on the farm, and their are loads of walking routes in the area.On Feather Down Landgoed Tongeren, the hosts milk 75 cows through a voluntary milking system that allows the cows to themselves decide when and how often they are milked. This is part of the farmers' aim to be as organic as possible. That means that the cows, pigs, sheep and horses will have guaranteed access to the pastures, and artificial manure and pesticides won't be used. We believe that this will improve the health of the animals and a contribution, however small, will be made to a better world.If you just fancy a quiet weekend away from it all, that's certainly possible as well. The FeatherDown Tents are situated in a private field adjacent to the farm. The field is surrounded by woodland and offers plenty of room for the kids to roam free. As part of the Feather Down concept, there is no electricity or WiFi in the cosy accommodations. Candles and oil lamps provide a warm light and a rustic wood stove is available for cooking. Each accommodation has quality bedding, an equipped kitchen, a toilet, a dining area and a barbecue. Dogs are allowed in this location.
