Used to stay here all the time when I visit but the cleanliness of it has been going downhill. I might give it one more chance. If not any better next time; I won’t be back. The rooms and grounds really need to be cleaned. The rooms are never ready at 3:00 pm anymore. Asked me to come back in an hour. I hate to say all this because I really used to like the convenience and location. The bed was comfortable. Thanks and good luck.

The service was Prompt, professional, and friendly. The cleanliness of the room was pretty bad: musty/smoky smell, live bugs, blood stains on window sill, stained carpet, pillow case on floor.

The Microtel that Could

I noticed that there is a remodel in progress, so that will soon fix the disrepair. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, though.

Room & Beds were okay. Breakfast was good. Room was a bit run down but okay for price in that area. Towels were great big & fluffy. Phone in room did not seem to work & no smoke detector which I didn’t care about as I didn’t need either but just goes to show lack of attention.

Right from the reception till the hallway to room there was a foul smell through our stay. The room was very rustic and not maintained well. There was an intrusion of a unknown man around 1 AM in the room, he was assigned a key of our room number by the person in reception at that time. There was no one available to even answer or give explanation. The only good thing that happened was that the airport shuttle person was on time and able to drop us as expected. Other than that, it was a horrible experience which I would never like to face again on my visit to the place.

Card didn’t work the whole time of my stay, that’s probably a temp. But the microwave oven and freezer is pretty small. Please take trash out everyday or put large bin outside so we can use. The bath tub made noises when we use. Close to CVG airport, good restaurants close by.

I would have given a 5* if it weren’t for the pungent stench of weed in the hall. That is not the fault of the hotel, just rude and inconsiderate guests who don’t care about others or no smoking signs everywhere. Staff was fabulous, check in was fast and I would stay again as the rooms are clean and bed was comfy. Thankfully the room didn’t smell like the hall!

Positives: The staff was friendly and check-in was smooth. Easy parking. Close to CVG. Everything worked, the bed was comfortable, and the room had a microwave and refrigerator. Negatives: The room needed a deep cleaning (walls, etc.) and things (desk chair, curtains, TV remote, etc.) definitely weren’t in the best repair. TV channels limited. Breakfast late one day and very limited/low quality the next. Most significant, the non-smoking room had definitely been smoked in often and for a long time. I’m not sensitive to smoke but even I had sore eyes and throat. Still, it’s what I’d expected for the very low price. It’s a place to lay one’s head.

Staff members were very nice. But the place is infested with bugs! The first one was in the bed on my neck! I'm not sure what kind of bug it was; but, I told the front desk personnel. She did not seem surprised. Moved me to the opposite hallway, nicer room and bugs on the floor in that room.
