Shook me all night long
Something like an HVAC system, elevator or other building mechanism shook my entire room causing the doors to rattle and bed to shake at various times throughout the day and night. It may have been a unique "feature" for that particular location in the building since the room (317) was also right around the corner from the elevator. I would call this room the ass crack of the building. The view (albeit this is Grand Forks, ND where everything looks the same) was basically a sliver of a picture: looking to the right -a desolate field and tiny strip of parking; and to the left - the hotel building itself along with a window to what I assume was another hotel room. Close proximity to the elevator was disruptive when trying to sleep from the hours of 11pm - 6am. The noise from the elevator (people arguing, laughing, talking, etc) was over the top obnoxious but it was the weekend so zero expectations. If your plans are to party all night then this room is for you. Not as significant but since I'm already leaving a review - the mattress was terrible. They need to rotate them. The head of the bed was clearly sunken in so much that I felt like I was lying upside down or like when at the dentist and the chair is tilted far back. Then there was the deposit for "incidentals" which I am still waiting to be refunded on. Not sure if they thought I'd be tempted to steal the 120-grit towels or what. Here's a perk: It is very close to UND campus which was nice for my plans that weekend.

Nice location, bad policies
Hotel is very nice, but policies ruined our stay. The policies in place made it almost impossible to do anything besides sit in your room. Only one room was allowed to be in the pool at a time, but yet one room could book unlimited time. So we could not use the pool area at all the first day because they allowed the one room to book multiple hours. Seems like poor managment to me and from desk staff didn't seem to care. This left a sour taste for us and not sure we would come back to this location with so many other good options

Excellent Health precautions during Covid travel
We were very pleased with the efforts this hotel is taking to make us feel comfortable during Covid Travel. The room was cleaned, sealed so we knew no one had entered since it was cleaned, remote was wrapped in saran wrap to ensure cleanliness. The elevators had clear instructions to only have 2 riders/families riding at a time. There was adequate signage in the lobby indicating instructions to keep people safe. Limits were in place for exercise/pool and dining areas. We did not use these facilities, so can not commit more than that. Room was very nice!

Nice rooms, BUT these should change.
When I checked in on Friday night at about 8:00, I had to wait around at the service desk. No one came so I had to get the bartender to help me out. The girl who came out was extremely unfriendly. She didn’t greet me or say anything. I had to be the first one. After the transaction, she just handed me the keys. I had to ask where I should park. She didn’t tell me anything. Rude behavior and shouldn’t be in service if you don’t want to be polite. My husband arrived later and was given great service around 11:00 pm. The room was very nice and clean, but the bed was awful. When we have stayed at Hilton Garden’s the beds are usually so comfy, but this one definitely needed to be replaced. Not worth the effort to request a different room. Saturday night, we went down for a drink and the bartender...a friendly young woman...was so pleasant and conversational. She just knew when to talk to us and when to help a new customer. She was the highlight of the hotel experience.
