Great lodge vibe. Fall decor on property. Huge fire pit to relax and talk. Comfortable rooms and beds. Plenty of fluffy bed pillows. Trolley stop on property.

The lamp in the room had a broken knob, the toilet seat was loose. Very loose. Cobwebs in the corners. Beds were not that comfy.

Was walkable to downtown Gatlinburg. Room was pretty clean. It did feel damp/humid in the room however.

2/10 Poor

Based on the Expedia photos and reviews (along with the fact that Appy was listed under ‘resorts’ - we feel it was severely misrepresented and the property/amenities were nowhere near as nice as we expected. Pretty sure the guy that checked us in was stoned. Bunch of kid running around in this tiny really hick looking lobby. We get into our room and the floor is dirty, there’s a poop stain in the toilet, brown liquid in the sink, and the AC unit is covered in gunk from old spills that were never cleaned up. Took photos of all of this. A nice find was also that the AC unit wasn’t big enough to cool the whole room enough to sleep so that was just lovely on top of everything else. Definitely the worst pillows Ive ever slept on so plan on bringing your own. Walls are paper thin and could hear kids running around all day and night. Don’t be fooled by the photos - the outdoor pool is more like one giant 3 foot bathtub. Not even sure why they built it. Not enough chairs for more than half a dozen people to lay out. Unfortunately my girlfriend suffered her first ever seizure while we were there (unsure as to why yet) so we spent the 2nd day after we checked in letting her rest and get recovered from it. After that we asked to leave the property and go stay somewhere else. They were “nice” enough not to charge us for the remainder of the stay but offered no refund for the first two nights with the room conditions the way they were. In short - stay away

This was our second time staying at The Appy Lodge, it was just as nice as when we stayed last summer. Love how easy it is to get in/out and that it’s no located on the main strip. Will definitely stay there again next summer.

Two-Day family Trip
I have always wanted to try this property and we finally did this past week. We enjoyed the property and the people were VERY friendly. The room wasn't as clean as I expected. The floor had hair balls and candy pieces. Other than that, it was nice. If this property were closer to the center of town, we would stay here on all our visits as we go to Gatlinburg 8-12 times a year.

10/10 Exceptional

This hotel was very pretty. The room was cleaned and well-maintained, and the hotel had an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was very shallow, but refreshing and with a fun slide for the kids. There was a nice continental breakfast daily, and a treat of flavored water and cookies in the afternoon. On the property is a fun miniature golf course. This property is far enough from downtown Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to not be noisy, but close enough to not be too far from the action. We were able to walk to Gatlinburg, but we are hikers, so it might not be for everyone. My only “complaint” is the rug in the hotel is old and needs a good cleaning, but I attributed that to all the hikers that come there to sleep. I’d recommend the hotel and I’d go there again.
