The location of this hotel is excellent. We could walk to Empire State Building, Time Square and the theaters to see our evening Broadway shows. The room we on 9th floor was very small. Just enough room to walk around the bed with no dresser, closet or drawers to put anything away. We hung a few things up on the hooks. The rest had to stay in our luggage or stacked on the night stands. At check in, our room was 83 degrees. Staff noticed as well and turned our AC unit back on. It cooled to about 75 degrees before we left for the evening. When we returned the AC was back off and it was 79 degrees. We figured out how to turn it back on but it shut off every 20-30 minutes (error msg). We got up multiple times in the night to turn it back on but were hot and uncomfortable. The sirens going by were also very loud and woke us up. In the morning, we notified the front desk about the AC problem. They agreed to look into. When were returned around 4 p.m. (5-6 hrs later), the new front desk staff had no updates on our room or issue. Our room was 83 deg again. We then asked to change rooms. They did find us another room on the 6th floor but we now had to move all of our clothes to the new room before heading off for our evening plans. We packed quickly and moved. The AC in the new room was working well, it was much cooler and created white noise so the street noise was much better too. The new room was also a bit bigger but still no storage. Very disappointed with not follow up on issue.
