15 Jun 2026No insulation in the walls whatsoever. You could hear everything. People talking & Doors slamming all hours of the night. Don’t stay there if you are needing a good nights rest.
Other than that, staff was friendly, room was clean, & had a decent breakfast.

23 Jun 2026We appreciated the later checkout time. I hope the days of needing to be out by 10am are long gone. It was within walking distance to a couple restaurants which was nice.

5 May 2026I didn’t like the stains in the ceiling or how the air turns off consistently. The staff was amazing and quick to accommodate me.

4 Aug 2026I had a reservation here through Hotels.com. I had to leave early because of a family emergency. When I checked out, I explained my situation at the front desk. The individual stated she couldn't reimburse me without the agreement from Hotels.com. It took several days for Tru to provide the information I needed which showed I checked out a day early, and gave up the room early that morning. When I finally was able to provide Hotels.com with this verification, I received the following notification from Hotels.com.
WE'RE FOLLOWING UP FOLLOWING YOUR REQUEST TO ADJUST YOUR RESERVATION WITHOUT PENALTY.
AFTER CONTACTING THE PROPERTY, THEY'VE DECIDED TO UPHOLD THE ORIGINAL CANCELLATION POLICY AND HAVE DECLINED THE WAIVER REQUEST.
After several days of jumping through hoops trying to collect the required paperwork from Tru in McKinney, they reneged on their promise. Enough for me to avoid staying at any Tru property.
