What separates a truly exceptional hotel from a merely luxurious one is not the thread count or the minibar — it is whether the staff notices you. During our stay at W Prague, the housekeeping team demonstrated a level of attentiveness that genuinely surprised us. On finding my glasses on the desk, they left a lens cleaning kit beside them. Noticing a cup by the sink, they placed dental floss inside it without being asked. When we returned from a day out, we found that the books we had left on the table each had a bookmark carefully placed in them — one per book, as if someone had quietly decided that our reading deserved to be respected too. None of these were requested. None were part of a checklist. They were simply small, thoughtful acts that told us someone had walked into our room not just to tidy it, but to actually see how we were living in it. In an era where luxury hospitality often means impressive lobbies and curated aesthetics, W Prague reminded us what genuine service feels like — personal, unhurried, and human. We will be back.
