Breakfast fresh everyday. But lacks variety & menu with more options. Staff is very helpful, attentive & friendly. Comfy beds, great AC. Bathroom horrible, couldn’t move in shower. Recommend change door lock to Card Access. A lot of noise from street motor bikes & trucks.
Hotel in remodeling phase so please include pamphlets or tourist sightseeing information in lobby. And maybe food items to snack after hours or snack bar in rooms. Overall it’s a very pretty hotel & clean. Thanks to Christina and the breakfast attendant Osiris for your service.

I hate to say how much I love this hotel because it's a bargain and a gem that I don't want to lose. The staff were really nice. It has a wonderful restaurant. The architecture is old but really well preserved and updated.

The place is wonderful. It's like staying at an art museum. The staff is so kind and serviceable. Jose receives us with complementary drunks, and explained vwey well all our options. Adamilca took care of us at all times, even providing an umbrella for us on a rainy day, and John prepared the most delicious cocktails.

An excellent place however they did not have fresh sheets, and I asked them as they kindly brought fresh sheets and change the bed for me
Staff is absolutely amazing and their service was bar-none the best.
They also served us breakfast as we had to leave very early next morning and they did so bringing it up to our room

The hotel is amazing. Great hidden jewel in Zona colonial. Great service, great room. The restaurant is a must! Area outside of the hotel is a bit sketchy but it is normal, probably dont walk alone late at night. But during the day is safe.

Positives: the artwork, the service, the location, welcome cocktail at the bar. Negatives: No elevator, lots of noise from the street and live music at the restaurant. Small rooom with weird configuration. Spotty Wi-Fi and hot water. Joseph always had a smile and was willing to help at the desk. Breakfast was OK.

This was my sister and I first visit in the Dominian Republic and we decided to make an overnight trip in Santo Domingo from Punta Cana on Thurs Jan 23, 2025 and we're glad we did. Our stay at Empyrean was phenomenal, the service was impeccable. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and embraced with a big welcome and infectious smile by Joseph (Jose).
He was friendly, hospitable and personable. I can't thank him enough. He made our trip memorable, he went above and beyond, and we are forever grateful for him. Other staff also were courteous, helpful and left a good impression on us. All the servers, housekeepers, the gentleman who served us our complimentary breakfast and coffee. I highly recommend this place. The art decor and attention to detail was wonderful; it felt like being in an art gallery!!! Thank you so much for all that made our stay enjoyable.
