Very friendly and helpful staff who created a warm welcoming atmosphere for all the guests. Very convenient, right by a bus stop and a short walk to the town centre or sea front. Great buffet cooked breakfast. Comfortable beds. Welcome to bring your own food into their restaurant where they provide plates and cutlery. Excellent value and a little gem of a hotel.

Good location - Clean and comfy
The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk to the sea front and a little further to the harbour and town centre. The room was very clean and comfortable, as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was fab and the staff (owners) were polite and helpful. You wont get much better in this area for the price! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful time here. The owners are very welcoming and nothing was an issue for them.
They offer beach towels for guests to use at the beach.

Always worry about booking a guesthouse over a hotel but needn’t have worried! This place is excellent. £80 a night for a family room, including breakfast, is beyond good value! Far superior room and breakfast to Premier Inn and half the price. Host Andy is exceptionally accommodating- SO attentive. Even had a gingerbread man waiting for our 3 year old at breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous get away, look forward to return
Had a fabulous one night stay here, and wished it could have been more. Boutique style on entrance and downstairs, comfortable sitting room and fabulous breakfast area and licenced bar for the evening.
Room was clean, comfy, relaxing and well presented, fabulous bed, so comfy. Only criticism if there is one in the room, is the lack of plugs for chargers etc, could do with an extension lead or some extra sockets.
Breakfast was amazing, so much choice, fresh orange juice machine was fab, and all freshly cooked and well presented.
The guys were brilliant, so knowledgable about the local area, and sorted us a reservation at an amazing Italian restaurant locally.
Absolutely recommend this gem of a place to stay if in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Southbank Town house. Andy was very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and had lovely modern decor. Breakfast was really nice with lots of choice. It had a lovely welcoming feel and was decorated to a very high standard...Will definatly be returning, Highly recommended!!... Lou and Ben

Within walking distance of beach and town centre
Superb welcome on arrival,from Andy who had the paperwork completed & only needed my signature and vehicle details.
Limited free parking is available behind hotel on a first come first served basis. A little tight for larger cars.
Continental breakfast was well presented and very tasty.
Dining room was a little limited for space if full but hotel owners have a refurbishment plan for over the winter closure which will increase space.
Overall I had a great stay and will certainly consider staying there again when I'm in the area.
