The room was cozy with comfortable beds. The backyard area was cute with a spa and games like corn hole. The beds were comfortable and we loved the little electric fireplace/ we will definitely be staying here again.

My husband and I stayed one night passing through Truckee to get to the Bay Area. The room was cozy and very comfortable. The property is walking distance to the Pub at Donner Lake, and right across from the Little Truckee Ice Creamery (incredible ice cream). It was a great place to get a few hours rest.

The location was excellent, right next to Donner Lake and ice cream shop; easy access to everything else. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the shower needs upgrading as water is slow to heat up, and the wifi extremely slow - even for just browsing websites.

Text message check in was the easiest thing in the world, just pulled up and lodge door was 5 feet from the car. Clean and warm inside, couldn't ask for more for a quick night stay.

This was perfect for our family for two nights. Everything we expected was in place, our hosts were responsive when we reached out. Short walk to the lake, short drive to the ski slopes and tubing hills. Exactly what we needed.

Very Convenient if you're Skiing on Donnor Summit
This is a beautiful little place. We stayed in a room with one queen bed and a bunk bed with three beds. Had two boys with us for a snowboard event at Boreal, which is a seven-minute drive, allowing us to drive them to the event at 8 am, come back to the hotel, shower, eat their nice breakfast, and head back up at checkout at 10 am.

Our hosts Nina & Jim were warm and welcoming. The Inn is a picture perfect mountain retreat. Our room was wonderfully appointed, a great Franklin stove, super comfortable bed, very cozy. The breakfast was healthy- the overnight oats - Yummy, homemade banana bread - outstanding, high tech coffee machine to more than satisfy the coffee aficionado and the hot chocolate - Lucious. If you’re going to Donner Lake, your first choice should be the Donner Lake Inn…!!

Studio room w Bunk bed works great for a family with 1-2 kids
Good driving distance to ski resorts in North Lake Tahoe; Across the street from Donner lake so should be good for summer time too.
Grab-to-go breakfast is with fresh pastries and hot egg burritos
48-hr cancellation term works great for families with smaller children (think about a time when kids get sick and you have to cancel the trip)
Cons
Super tiny shower space. Seriously the smallest I had ever used. The shower head position doesn’t work well for small kids. They would be forced to have a shampoo every day hahah. Better to have a removable shower head. Good that the toilet and sink are separated though.
Not enough dining options within 5mins driving
Wish list:
To include milk in breakfast options. There’s good variety of coffee but having milk would be good for kids
Open up the breakfast place during the day (or evening) for access to hot water.

The area was quiet and calm, the room was small but not a surprise we saw the pictures. It’s very much like a mini cabin and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. The beds were very comfortable and clean.
