A lovely little hotel for our first night in Croatia. We wanted a place not too far from Zadar airport on the way to Plitvice. The hotel was perfect as it is newly renovated and spotlessly clean. The room was very comfortable and furnished to a high spec though a chair would have been appreciated. We had time for a lovely walk along the river to a waterfall then enjoyed an excellent pizza and beer at the hotel overlooking the river. The drive from the hotel to Plitvice is stunning.

I would like to say that I was very disappointed that you have to buy your own water when dinning. It’s as if they are cashing in on your need to drink water with your meal. Water is an everyday need for survival.
I think you really need to look at this as many others talked about this also while I was there as was very disappointed!

Nikolina’s apartment block is beautiful.
We rented a two bedroom flat and it was spotless.
There are two pools, loads of sun beds, chairs, tables and umbrellas.
It is also a 2 minute walk to the beach.
The town is a 20 min walk but we found it too hot and a bit dangerous with children so we got Ubers or Bolts.
Nikolina is responsive and helpful. Thank you
My only tip would be to be sure which apartment from the description specifically you have booked as the photos can be a bit misleading.

Fabulous 2 night stay after a week sailing in the local area. Fantastic location 200m from the beach and a 15 min stroll down the coastal path into the old town, with a lovely little pool and patio area to relax. Amazing breakfast and both the staff and owner couldn't be nicer and more helpful. It's only been open since May so is brand new, fantastic design details and comfortable beds, and breakfast was perfect. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Wonderful kind, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, fantastic view, great restaurant. Can’t wait to return. If you don’t have a car I would recommend booking a ferry transfer with the hotel. It is an easy walk but uncomfortable in the heat.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 17. It's a really lovely hotel. Very clean & in a great position. The staff are absolutely charming - so helpful & happy in their work. The breakfast was delicious & plenty of choice. The restaurant upstairs was a delight & the food was exceptional - absolutely delicious. All the staff that we spoke to from breakfast to evening drinks were a credit to your hotel & definitely made our stay that bit more special. Thank you all.

Loved our stays at Hotel A’Mare. We stayed twice over the past couple of weeks - once arriving from Geneva and again after returning from Sestrunj and the service was fantastic both times. From reception to housekeeping and the restaurant team, everyone was brilliant. And the breakfast is an absolute feast - don’t miss it!
On our second stay, Marco and Petra at reception warmly welcomed us back and really looked after us. Having travelled to 58 countries myself and my husband to 64, we’ve...

Lovely location with a little private beach out front with a beach bar.
Lots of positives. Food was lovely. Coffee and free cake is a great deal. Breakfast menu was limited but really tasty. Poached eggs were perfect every time. Staff were nice with good English. Room has lots of thoughtful little touches like a cardboard box to hide the light from the air con display.
Hotel common areas were very beautiful. Didn't use the pool or sauna but very nice area.

Sea view room was perfect as was the roof top pool where we watched the sunset several times over the week. Just need more plates and glasses so not washing all the time.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Benkovac
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Benkovac is between January and March, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a fulfilling experience that encompasses the town's historical landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to immerse themselves in the rich heritage and explore the significant sites, all while enjoying great value for money on their budget-friendly getaway. Prices may drop during this period, making it an ideal choice for those looking to travel on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For those seeking last-minute deals to Benkovac, exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com may reveal discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, maximising your chances of finding the best hotel deals. Moreover, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available through the app allows you to compare room rates and amenities, ensuring you’re informed if prices drop or new rooms become available, so you can seize the opportunity for a spontaneous getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a hotel in Benkovac. If you’re seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the cost is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might be more affordable, which could enhance your chances of securing a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the places you intend to visit. Independent hotels located further out are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
