Was attending an event at Arthur Findlay College in nearby Stansted-Mountfitchet and this place was ideal and also a great value. The innkeeper was super friendly and helpful and had a good energy. Would definitely recommend.

A pleasant overnight stay
There was off-street parking. Upon entry to the property it was fresh and clean. Self check-in was easy. The room was pleasant and the addition of the flowers was a nice touch. The bed and pillows were comfortable (although I usually prefer a firm mattress) The only disappointment was the en-suite. It needs a total refurbishment although was clean.

I booked a single room which had a dated shower cubicle in the corner. Room was clean and warm. Check in was smooth and the door code is sent by email. I was on the ground floor at the front so was disturbed by people coming and going at least 3 times but a different room may not have that problem. There are either 6 or 8 parking spaces at the front which seemed to be ample for the property.

This is a great idea but it’s let down by a couple of things. The room itself was pretty clean and although the bathroom was a little bit tired it was all usable trouble was that there were a number of guests that came in at 1 am waking everybody up and given there are no staff at the location this was an issue. Also, the window in my room was broken and unusable.

We came at night and left early for the airport so we didn’t encounter any services but that’s okay, the keys were super easy to find. The room was clean and super cozy! The bathroom was really clean especially the sink and the shower! Really great stay would definitely recommend.
