Hotel Katerina is a gem in Chico! The staff, the aesthetics, the amenities were all lovely! The rooms were so nice, with little surprises throughout the property. Plus, the location is so easy to navigate with lots of shopping & dining, please easy on-off freeway access. We will be back as this was a favorite stay!

In room coffee to me is complicated. Its the pour over method which I am not an expert at. I would rather have a keurig instead. I was able to get excellent fresh coffee from the lobby. The ac never did get really cool. We turned on at check in and it was still warm through the night. Not hot in the room persay but kept waking up hot. But the hotel and staff are wonderful. We would stay again for sure.

The staff were amazing. The really helped me out at 3AM when my heartburn flared up. They went to their sister hotel to get me some tums and then went to the ice machine and gave me a cup of ice. They truly did go out of their way for that. BUT…they have elevator issues. When we first got there, one of two elevators were out. The next morning, we found out the elevator was out because another visitor told us. No signage stating the elevator was out of service. We had to use the stairs. Some people might say whatever but for me, I just had two total joint replacements done on my knees. It was extremely difficult to walk down the stairs. For the hotel to be one years old, I find it bothersome that their elevators are already out of service. I wonder what could be next. When I finally made it downstairs I requested fora manager, whom there was no manager on duty, then to please call me. As of today, I still have not received a phone call. Very disappointed and I will not go back.
