Totally charming in a beautiful setting on the Root River. The gardens were gorgeous and the host Brian was friendly and welcoming. We had a comfortable room with 2 queens a fridge and freezer and very spacious overlooking the River. Easy to get around Lanesboro one of our favourite away travel spots. Highly recommend this property

Green Gables in Lanesboro, MN is a GREAT place to stay. The property is beautiful & well kept both inside & out. Self check-in allows for easy check-in, even if you will be arriving late. They have all you might need for your stay readily available such as extra towels or ice. Staff answers any questions promptly. There is a separate garage for easy & safe bike storage as well as a continental breakfast daily. It will be our first choice on our next trip to the Lanesboro, MN area!!

This was a perfect get away for our anniversary. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with inviting places to sit outdoors to enjoy the flowers. Our room was clean, quiet & spacious. Staff was pleasant & eager to help with details. Breakfast was basic: pkg. oatmeal, pkg. muffins, yoplait yogurt, juice boxes, & coffee. We would've appreciated a piece of fruit &/or healthier option but you could bring your own favorites to enjoy with coffee outdoors.

First off, the place was immaculately cleaned. Impressively so. Very friendly and helpful staff, great location just up the road a piece from the main downtown Lanesboro area in a very quiet corner right off of the Root River. I liked that it was a few blocks away from the main drag there, it helped to keep quiet when you want quiet. I would definitely stay in Lanesboro again, and specifically at Green Gables Inn. We are already thinking about bringing the kids soon.
