We had a great stay at Guest House Halvat. Valida is such a nice host. She will meet you with a big smile and a nice chat. We were very pleased with our room. Clean, well equipped with good AC and a great shower. The location is just a couple of blocks from Bascarsija square and the stop for the bus service to Sarajevo Airport. Guest House Halvat has a great location for exploring the Old Town.

Halvat guesthouse is beautiful and has every amenity that you need for a stay. The beds are comfy, the rooms beautifully decorated and the breakfasts are wonderful. The guesthouse is in easy walking distance in the old town to shops, historical sites, restaurants and bars. Valida the landlady is lovely, so friendly and makes you feel like it's home from home. The staff are wonderful, gracious and kind. The inn is located very conveniently, just above old town. The staff helped with transportation and restaurant reservations. I had a wonderful stay at this Guesthouse. Valida and her husband are excellent hosts and very welcoming. The room and bed were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely spread and I couldn't possibly do it justice! The house is conveniently situated about a 5 minute walk from the main square but away from the main hustle and bustle. Welcoming and charming guest house - stay here!

This hotel was absolutely spectacular! I felt like I was staying with a cousin at her private home. Valida and Ema made me feel so welcome and comfortable, I can't say enough good things about the experience they provide. The hotel is efficient and clean, with lovely personal touches (books in rooms, especially). The location is great for access to Bascarsija, and everything in the city is within walking distance of this hotel. The highlight of my days was made to order breakfast with Valida. The food was great, but the company was even better. Don't hesitate. Stay here, and feel like family!

This was the perfect place to stay near the old town area. Bustling with eating options, local attractions, and fun shopping. Our host was the sweetest ever! So nice and accommodating. Very helpful and delightful. I would stay here anytime I am in town. You cannot go wrong with this guest house. Only one caveat: not for the disabled if you cannot handle stairs. Most of the balkans are full of stairs, and this guest house is no exception. But given that no where else has accessible areas, this is your very best option. We loved it! Great for the price. Friendly staff. Had to carry luggage up the stairs, but the staff is willing to help if you need them to. Attention to small things were really impressive -- they helped me with parking my car in subtle but very kind ways. For instance, seeing that my car was small (a VW golf), they suggested using their garage rather than use the paid parking spot. Once the garage was found to be still too small, they found a free street parking space and parked for me. Since the valet parking was very easy and very short distance, they didn't charge me for it. 22 euros saved, even though they did not have to do it -- I went in knowing that I had to pay to park, but they helped me as best as they could. The breakfast was good, too.
