Hotel is lovely staff are great but every thing is extra lot of stairs up to hotel you can use lift location great but there are a lot of homeless hanging about outside even thou the hotel is very safe it does make you feel a bit uncomfortable breakfast was amazing lots of choice

This hotel is very centrally located in Cardiff. It's in a historic building, but the interiors have been recently renovated. It's good value for money. The breakfast was good.

Only 5 mins walk to Cardiff Castle. Ideally situated for shopping. Four flights of stairs up to reception lobby though so you need to be fit. Staff were polite and helpful. Glad of the aircon on a baking hot day.

Two of us stayed in the "Friendly room". It was very clean, comfortable bed and had a bath, which is a bonus these days. It could benefit from a small table on the right side of the bed, with a lamp for reading, but that apart, was all we needed for our stay.

Nice room thanks to an upgrade. Curtains let a lot of light through and not very well sound proofed. Bedding was lovely. Nice big TV. Bath was very slippy resulting in a fall. Towels are very small. Staff friendly and breakfast was ok (but wouldn’t have paid £14 for it). Very good location

The staff was very friendly and the room was large with a very comfortable bed. The only thing to be aware of is the odd design of this older hotel that requires you to go down (depending on what side of the building you enter) to take the lifts to go up, otherwise you climb 50 steps with luggage in tow to get to the 2nd floor reception.
