If you like history, antiques and rustic charm, this place has it. It has a pub and restaurant on site with great food. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The pool was closed but they are putting in a new one for next year. Would definitely stay there again.

Outstanding discovery! Nestled in a very quiet and peaceful historic neighborhood, we felt very secure. The breakfast buffet was more than just your average hotel buffet, and included table service for all but the food line. They also had a very good restaurant / pub on site. Enjoyed reading the history of the property. This will be our go to lodging when we are in the area.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. Pros: very clean and historic building, lots of antiques, close proximity to downtown, great decor, very beautiful property, and the pub is amazing! Cons: mattress was uncomfortably firm, pillows were hard and frumpy, we had to go out and purchase pillows, the main building (which is older) does not have individual climate control in the room, room was uncomfortably warm. Finally, the restaurant, the chicken and ham was not worth the $36 dollars charged. The leg was tiny, the breast was very dry, and the ham was so salty that it was inedible for all three of us. The hotel is Under new management and I was informed that changes are being made. I would recommend staying at this property and once the AC and mattresses are upgraded I will be back!
