23 Jul 2026We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is tucked away in a quiet side street in a charming little village, surrounded by several excellent restaurants. The location is perfect, with just a short walk to the harbor, where you’ll find beautiful swimming spots and crystal-clear water.
The hotel itself has a modern and welcoming bar and restaurant. The breakfast was delicious every morning, and we also enjoyed several excellent lunches there during our stay. The cocktails were well made and a great way to relax in the evening.
Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a peaceful atmosphere, great food, and easy access to both the village and the sea. We would happily return.

4 Apr 2026We had a good stay at Block. The room is not big, but not as small as a typical London hotel room. The windows only go to a ventilation shaft. But the bed is big and comfortable andre the shower has lovely hot water and pressure.
The crew is very helpful and friendly. The location in Xlendi is great. I also appreciate that they reach out about the small rooms after booking.
But please be aware that the noise of the party on ground and top floor is intense, also in the rooms. They stop at midnight sharp, but if you want to go to bed before that, you cannot be a light sleeper.
All in all: would stay again, as long as I'm in a party mood.

19 Jul 2026Air conditioners in comfort standard rooms have not aged well and should have been replaced long ago as they have a high pitch noise. We have not had this problem in 3 other hotels in Malta. Tried 2 different rooms, both had the pitch but one was quieter. Apart from this the rooms were nice.
Some staff were welcoming, polite and helpful (about 75% of them), others were unfortunately not.
The elevator takes max 4 persons. It is the only elevator for the hotel and is shared between guests and staff so be prepared to wait several times for it to pass or use the stairs. I would suggest to consider installing a mini elevator for sending e.g. trays and dishes between the restaurant and the pool bar.
The breakfast was OK.
Skip the tsatsiki snack dish since it is without garlic.
The pool on the roof with the live DJ was the highlight. The DJ on Friday was fantastic! The DJ on Saturday did not fit our taste as it was only ambient dubstep but still nice to have a live DJ.

I particularly commend the reception staff/front desk hotel manager, who went beyond the call of duty to ensure they were helpful and exceeded my expectations. Bravo and please keep up the great work.
I definitely will return and recommend this hotel to family and friends for the experience.

6 Mar 2024BLOCK hotel is simply lovely. Cosy base for Gozo. Quiet in winter months but wonderful scenery. South west Gozo has stunning cliffs and walks. Victoria the capital is nearby with buses thence to the whole island. I had the most relaxing time. Room was quiet, no window but not needed as only slept there. Food was amazing and barman and waitress charming. Live entertainment Thu-Sunday and a real hub for divers, if that is what you are into (Not me but seemed like a super professional set up). Highly rate BLOCK, would definitely go back and definitely recommend.

3 Mar 2024Wonderful Xlendi is a lovely quiet spot. BLOCK is an amazing hotel, albeit some decorating and refurbishment going on but very carefully managed. Studio suite was fantastic. Great size great facilities and just lovely. Fab bed and lovely sofa. All just right. Xlendi is easy to get to from Victoria station. Some great walks nearby if you don’t mind heights…..seemingly I did. Cliffs on walk to Sannat a bit high for me and was relieved to head inland after. Views were spectacular.
A very safe region. Calm and quiet.
Malta is really coming into its element and Gozo is also gearing up for increased tourism.
Service and food at hotel is great too with fabulous Universal coffee. Great range of drinks and craft beers if you drink alcohol and fantastic live evening entertainment.
Highly recommend BLOCK.

The room was with a window but it was 0,5 meters from a wall an no natural daylight. So it should be listed as a no window room.

O Hotel tem uma estrutura fantástica para aproveitar o melhor da região, são vários ambientes que integram a propriedade.
Sem dúvidas recomendo e muito.
Vale ressaltar que o hotel fica na região de Gozo(fica uns 40 km do aeroporto de Malta, tendo que fazer uma travessia de balsa, que é muito fácil e preço acessível).
