17 Dec 2025I really enjoyed stayed at Tahuna Pod Hostel. First, the location is just perfect, a short walk away to everything but peaceful away from all the noises and chaos of Queenstown, and perched on the top of the hill so you have an amazing view of the lake, especially during sunset. The staff is fantastic and keeps the place friendly but clean and orderly. And the bed is so so comfortable. If you are coming to Queenstown, stay here.

10 Dec 2024I was accommodated in a single room. First, the staff was super nice and helpful. The kitchen's equipment examplary. Nice lounge area. Everything seemed modern and clean. But: my room was quite loud. There was constant droning sound that earplugs couldn't get rid of. When somebody used the bathroom next door it became almost comically noisy. There was a large window but only a simple blind to cover. Also, it was quite cold both in the room and the bathroom but there were no heaters. When you pay a high rate like that you should expect more.

30 Apr 2026First time staying in a hostel and it was great. Staff were so friendly and gave a tour of the kitchen and lounge areas. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and it was nice to have your own little pod vs having a little bunk bed.
Only stayed for one night so didn't use the kitchen but they provide tea and coffee and even have a free food section of assorted things that people have left behind.
A block or two from the main area of Queenstown but I preferred this since it kept the noise of the bars out at night.
