Our stay at Montenvers was great. The hotel appearred lovingly restored to it's original glory. It was a realitively easy and comfortable way to immerse in some of the most beautiful mtns in the world. The food was very good. The views from our room of the glacier and mtns were fantastic.

Staying in a hotel in the mountains above Chamonix, accessible only by a quaint train (30 minutes) where you can go on incredible hikes or just relax on the patio and stare at the glorious mountains... well, it doesn't get better than that. Everyone on the staff was attentive and nice, and the family room was perfect for my husband, myself, and our teenage daughter (who got her own space). We loved it!!

Un cadre exceptionnel, mais l’expérience ne suit pas.
Nous habitons à Chamonix et nous étions ravis de séjourner enfin au Montenvers - le site est spectaculaire et le dîner était vraiment bon. Cependant, pour le prix payé, l’expérience globale nous a déçus.
L’intérieur a besoin d’un vrai coup de neuf. L’espace bar souffre d’un éclairage peu flatteur et manque cruellement de chaleur et de convivialité - une occasion manquée vu le cadre montagnard exceptionnel. Les chambres sont basiques, voire décevantes pour ce niveau de prix.
Le plus frustrant : aucune communication sur les horaires du train. Même en tant que locaux, on a trouvé ça confus - on imagine à peine la difficulté pour les visiteurs qui dépendent du train comme seul moyen d’accès en hiver.
Il y a un superbe hôtel qui ne demande qu’à émerger ici. Le potentiel est là - le site fait déjà une grande partie du travail. Mais il faut investir dans les intérieurs pour créer le refuge alpin chaleureux qu’il pourrait être, et repenser complètement la communication et le service client. Pour l’instant, l’établissement se repose sur la vue.

Nada igual, uma experiência única que todos deveria ter, de passar uma noite em um hotel mágico nas montanhas, tratamento intimista, vista impecável, eu nem tenho palavras.
O conforto do quarto é 10/10 e a alimentação é de alto nível.

Café da manhã e jantar muito gostosos e bem acolhedor. A vista sensacional para as montanhas. Hotel fica isolado, bom para momentos a dois. Não esqueça de levar tudo que precisa, pois não há comercio algum ao redor.

Grand hôtel du Montenvers
accueil très chaleureux nous sommes arrivés très en avance mais aucun souci le dortoir était prêt (nous étions seul). Très propre et spacieux nous avons très bien dormi la literie était excellente. Les salle de bains très propres et spacieuses. Le repas très fin et copieux (félicitations aux cuisiniers) ainsi que le petit-déjeuner et toujours avec un personnel très souriant. Bref nous reviendrons et nous recommandons fortement pour le rapport qualité prix. Décor magnifique également

Un cadre exceptionnel
Nous avons séjourné une nuit avec notre fils de 4 ans dans une chambre ´randonneur’.
La décoration de l’hôtel nous plonge dans l’époque des premiers aventuriers de la mer de glace.
Le personnel était charmant avec toujours une attention particulière pour notre fils.
Cette nuit restera un souvenir gravé dans nos mémoires.
