Terms and Conditions for the Hotels.com “Room Service” Giveaway (the "Prize Draw")

By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these "Terms and Conditions").

The information you provide will only be used for the administration of this Prize Draw and in accordance with Hotels.com’s privacy policy (see below).

  1. The promoter of this Prize Draw is com, L.P., a Texas limited partnership having its registered office at 5400 LBJ Freeway, Suite 500, Dallas, TX 75240, USA("Hotels.com").
  2. Participants must be at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, legally resident within the United Kingdom. Employees and agents of Hotels.com or any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies and their immediate families and members of their households, and anyone otherwise connected with operation or fulfilment of the Prize Draw are not eligible to take part. Hotels.com reserves the right to require participants to prove that they are eligible to enter the Prize Draw. If the winner is found to be ineligible, Hotels.com reserves the right to award the prize to another participant and to require the return of any prize already awarded.
  3. The Prize Draw commences at 00:01AM on 6 June 2023 (BST) and all entries must be received by 23:59PM on the closing date of 5 July 2023 (BST).
  4. To enter the Prize Draw, there are two (2) ways to enter, as follows:

Qualifying Purchase: During the Prize Draw Period visit the Prize Draw landing page at https://www.hotels.com/lp/b/roomservice and enter your first name, last name, date of birth, phone number, email address, your dream room service order, and confirmation number or a copy of your booking receipt for any travel that you have booked and purchased on Hotels.com (the “Website”) (collectively, a “Qualifying Purchase”), and you will receive one (1) entry (an “Entry”) into the Prize Draw. Travel must be completed within 12 months of entry. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any purchase that is subsequently refunded or cancelled will not qualify as a Qualifying Purchase.
  6. Mail-in Request: To enter without having to make a Qualifying Purchase, write your first name, last name, date of birth, phone number, and email address, and one (1) sentence describing which hotel and destination you would like to visit as well as your dream room service order on a piece of paper and mail it to: “Hotels.com’s Room Service” Giveaway, Hotels.com, 407 St. John Street, London, England, EC1V 4EX (collectively, a “Mail-in Request”).  If your Mail-in Request is postmarked and received before the end of the Prize Draw Period, you will receive one (1) Entry into the Prize Draw. Please note that a response acknowledging receipt of your Mail-in Request will not be sent. The Released Parties are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or illegible Mail-in Requests (all of which are void).    

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. All eligible entries will have an equal chance of winning.

There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address per Entry Period (regardless of the method of entry). Entries will not be acknowledged. Any Entries received in excess of this limitation will be automatically disqualified and the Sponsor may, in its absolute discretion, disqualify such entrant’s participation in the Prize Draw.  Entries submitted by any other method other than the methods listed above will be automatically deemed invalid and will not be entered into the Prize Draw. For greater certainty and the avoidance of any doubt, you can only use one (1) email address to enter the Prize Draw.  If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) obtain more than one (1) Entry per Entry Period; and/or (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Prize Draw, then he/she may be disqualified from the Prize Draw in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.  All entrants, Qualifying Purchases, Mail-in Requests and Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason.  The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Prize Draw; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry, Qualifying Purchase, Mail-in Request or other information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Prize Draw; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Prize Draw in accordance with these Official Rules.  Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Participation is subject to Hotels.com’s Terms of Service. When you enter, you are providing information to Sponsor.

  1. The Prize Draw will be promoted on the website at the following URL address: www.uk.hotels.com/roomservice (the "Website"). Use of script, macro or any automated system to enter the Prize Draw is prohibited and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system may be treated as void.  Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected.
  2. There are one hundred (100) prizes across all entries to be won. Each prize will consist of a Visa gift card worth £100 (the “Prize”). One hundred winners will be selected randomly and given one gift card each.

Prize winner is responsible for paying any applicable VAT, national, federal, state, local, income and withholding taxes, if any, and any and all other costs and expenses incurred in claiming or using the prize. In the event that any tax withholding is required by law for the prize, winner authorizes Sponsor to make the corresponding deduction.  Any prize details not specified above will be determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.  Sponsor will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellations or delays. Sponsor will not be liable for any airline and/or hotel fees incurred as a consequence of changing or cancelling flight and/or hotel reservations.  Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes or prize components. Winner may not transfer, assign or substitute a prize, or redeem a prize for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Prize is awarded “as is” without any warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. The prize is subject to and the winner must abide by the terms and conditions found at [insert Visa gift card terms and conditions].

  1. The winners of the Prize Draw will be the first one hundred (100) names chosen at random from all complete, eligible, properly submitted entries received from among all participating countries before the end of the applicable closing date.
  2. The winners will be notified no later than 30 business days after the competition end date via the email address provided on entry to the Prize Draw. The winners may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize.  The prize will be sent to the winners by email provided by the winner in advance.  If any e-mail(s) to the winners are returned as undeliverable or a winner does not claim the prize within 72 hours, Hotels.com reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award their prize to another participant.
  3. In the event that, for reasons beyond its control and not related to the winner, com is unable to award a prize as described in these Terms and conditions, Hotels.com reserves the right to award a prize of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize.
  4. By entering the Prize Draw and agreeing to its terms, participants agree to have their name and photograph featured in publicity materials, on all available media, including the Internet (on all Hotels.com related websites, webpages, online accounts, web-banners, emailing etc.) and in any kind of materials (printed materials, posters, press, POS advertisings, etc.) for promotional purposes relating to the Prize Draw, worldwide and for a period of one (1) year starting from the date of their participation, without further reference, payment or other compensation.
  5. Collection and Use of Your Personal Information: Hotels.com may collect and process your personal information directly or through our agents or contractors. We will use your personal information as necessary in order to conduct and manage the Prize Draw, and where we have a lawful basis to do so, to send marketing communications to you. We may disclose your personal information to our related companies, agents, and contractors to assist in conducting and managing this offer, communicating with you, or storing data. This may include disclosures to organizations outside the United Kingdom..

  1. com reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part, in an event of force majeure such as a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Prize Draw provided it meets the conditions of force majeure. Neither Hotels.com nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures or delays caused by force majeure events as defined by UK law.
  2. Except in the event that Hotels.com has breached its legal or contractual obligations, Hotels.com will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participants' entry into the Prize Draw or their acceptance and/or use of the prize, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit their ability to participate in the Prize Draw. com will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, defaced, incomplete, illegible or otherwise unreadable entries.  Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit Hotels.com’s liability for death or personal injury caused or for any damage caused by breach of its contractual obligations or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
  3. Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the Prize Draw in a manner, which is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other entrants (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Prize Draw, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Hotels.com and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Prize Draw. Furthermore, where such actions have significantly impaired the Prize Draw, Hotels.com may add further stages to the Prize Draw as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.
  4. All Hotels.com's decisions in relation to the Prize Draw are final and Hotels.com will not enter into any correspondence with participants.
  5. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions.
