Carrossa Hotel & Spa

Carrossa Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good
"First and foremost, the staff are what make this property worth the stay. They are excellent, friendly and welcoming. The location is remote, so for a quiet getaway it is ideal. The views from each restaurant are amazing. The food, while delicious, is a little on the bland side. I suppose I expected Spanish spiciness and instead got German bland. Not bad but not exceptional. That said, it was well prepared, i.e. cooked perfectly just didn’t hit the taste notes I was hoping for. The olives though…damn they are good. Pool decking was suspect and the pool is not heated so definitely a little chilly after the temps dip at night. Rooms are spacious, immaculate and well appointed. The parking is a long walk; in fact you will walk quite a bit which is great for fitness but fair warning if you need assistance (they do have golf carts). Traveling as a single it felt more like a couples/group retreat with little in the way of socialising amongst groups. Bring your friends (and a car) to get the most out of it. Lastly, I didn’t do the spa because the time allotted for a massage at 45 minutes seemed odd and no options for longer were really available. Dissappointing."

"We were here on our honeymoon. It was a very lovely property. The room was nice and spacious, the grounds were beautifully landscaped and everything was clean and well maintained. The design and furnishings were all very nice. The surrounding landscape was beautiful and it was a nice quiet part of the island to stay. Artá is a cool little town. The breakfast each morning was really amazing. There were so many options and everything was very fresh and delicious! It was a very quiet and peaceful property. We would stay again if we ever make it back. "

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Arta

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Arta is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices are typically lower. For a comprehensive exploration of the town's key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural beauty, a stay of at least 5 to 6 days is recommended. This budget-friendly duration allows visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history, visit charming gardens, explore museums, and enjoy delightful dining experiences, all while benefiting from great value for money. Additionally, it’s worth noting that prices may drop during these months, making it an even more enticing option for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover enticing hotel deals in Arta, head to the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to keep abreast of flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t overlook savings opportunities. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, making it easier to find the best Arta hotel deals. This way, you’ll be promptly informed if prices drop or new rooms become available for your last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at an Arta hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised atmosphere and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we will suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to secure the best possible deal.
  4. Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes at a higher price. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
