They have been closed since September. That would've been nice to know before I booked my stay in October for a December check-in. Thankfully, Expedia refunded me. @Expedia, you should take this place off of the booking site.

They are not even open. Sign on the door says closed for renovations no longer accepting reservations. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. If you do you get there and have nowhere to stay but still be charged. I purchased the travel insurance but was told by AIG that them being closed was not grounds for reimbursement. Oh and Hotels.com says they have to contact them before they can issue a refund......... good luck when they are closed

Hotels.com is pathetic
The hotel was closed for renovation. Hotels.com still made the reservation and took my money for a hotel that was closed down. Pathetic. And took over 2 hours with customer service to make other arrangements.

The website stated breakfast was included. On both mornings of my stay, there was nothing to drink aside from coffee. The juice machine was inoperable. The food options were bleak at best. The day I got there, there was a big sign in the elevator "Sorry for the inconvenience, no breakfast today". If they were having supply or staff issues I believe an email or a discount applied. Lastly upon checkout, I was informed that a $50 charge would be put back on my card. I was not informed of any charges upon check in.

Awful
Hands down one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in… and I’ve stayed in a Motel 6 that was much better. Parking is a terribly lit torn up parking lot out back, with the main door poorly signed when arriving after dark. You enter in the basement and take an elevator up to the main floor. The stench is unreal… even worse in the elevator. I had To cover my nose. The girl at check in was rude and very obviously did not want to be there. I can’t Say that I blame Her - the place is awful and I have A feeling she is treated poorly. The suite was old, musty, paint chipped off closet doors, hair in the shower, one room was so tiny the bed barely fit. The tv in the living room was not working. Beds were uncomfortable. Towels were thinner than my tee shirts and less absorbent. There was a small coffee machine with no lid on the pot… and no coffee. An ironing board… with no iron. The area is loud - a lot of traffic noise and sirens. We didn’t attempt breakfast due to the nastiness of the place. I am Pretty laid back and do not expect perfection - but do NOT stay at this awful hotel.

Property was decent. Older building which contained unique qualities. Cleanliness could have been better. Needs a lot of updating. But was a decent place to stay.

This is by no means a luxury hotel. So the title is misleading. The property needs heavy cleaning and remodeling. The owners will need to give some in order to get some, or else they'll continue the same trend.

Luxury hotel not luxurious
The building is old and it shows it’s age. It probably was a luxury hotel a long time ago. The name is very misleading. The price was very affordable and it was late, that’s the only reason I stayed. I was given a room that when I entered it was in complete disarray. I was given another room - an upgrade. I thought it was a joke, or a prank. A/C wasn’t working - they connected a small unit. I felt very unsafe, I questioned my decision to stay, wondered if my car would be there the next day. I checked and locked all the windows (they were unlocked). Placed furniture by the door. Furniture was old, tub was rusty.

Interesting old building. The room was clean and nice. Common areas could be kept up better, especially the landscaping. Took me three room changes to get the room that I actually booked.

Unique hotel with local history.
This was an interesting stay. We prefer to avoid run-of-the-mill hotels, and this one is definitely not part of a big chain. It's decor is dated, and not luxurious, but comfortable. They have flyers giving the history of the building, the architect and it's troubled restoration. The balcony was really nice in the evening. We liked the location because it wasn't right downtown, but a few blocks away.

Outdated, bad customer service, holes in walls, electrical outlets falling out of walls, old uncomfortable furniture, might as well not serve breakfast because of uncleanliness and water damage around the area. Not worth the money you spend for it. It could be a really cool old place to stay but that would take a lot of money to do. I would not not recommend staying there in its current condition.

My mini refrigerator didn’t work, the tv didn’t work, room smelt like cigarettes, furniture was dirty, the blanket was super thin, boarded up windows on one side of the hotel, fruit flies around the juice machine, mold on the ice machine, in order to use the pool you have to drive to genus gym, and the room didn’t have very many outlets.

This place is a hellhole
No A/C. In August. That should be noted in their description. It was not. The place gave off a creepy, haunted vibeand was a maze. The front desk was unhelpful. Total disaster
