Barceló Premium solo traveler review
I had a great experience overall at the Barceló. I sprung for Premium and the daily breakfast and evening appetizers did not miss. There’s also a one hour happy hour with beer and wine included. I visited the spa and it was amazing, as well. The last amenity I used was the pool. It’s covered so it’s nice to be able to use it year round. The downside was the noise level in the guest rooms. I had to move from a room near the elevator to one more interior as the rolling of bags, carts and general chatter carry sound quite intensely. After the move, I still heard a bit (mainly doors closing) but far less than in the elevator zone. I think some sound proofing is in order to give them a perfect score for me. Premium also comes with a high floor so you get good views of Mexico City, too. The staff is stellar. Overall, this is a gem. Thanks for a good stay, Barceló!

We love this hotel
The value from the Barcelo Mexico Reforma just cannot be beat. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful; the hotel, while older, is beautiful and comfortable; the location is central and walking distance to historic areas such as the Palazzio Bella Artes and Zocalo; and the premium rooms come with several awesome amenities such as food and beverage service on the 12th floor with a view. Definitely one of my all-time favorite hotels! Would highly recommend one of the premium rooms though, the 12th floor lounge is just so nice to have access to.
