Clean rooms, quiet. Lots of Asian beetles in the room. Hard to see when you turn on the light and get swarmed by them. Easy check in and out. Will stay again though.

Nice simple updated classic motel. Enjoyed the outdoor space off our room ... bed was very comfortable. However, it was the weekend and there was a lot of noise from various groups of fellow motel patrons who were also enjoying their outdoor spaces with beverages well into the night which affected our overall experience.

Perfect in cleanliness and comfort. It was very quiet. Couldn't even hear the toilet flush. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of covers. The room had everything one would need for a stay away from home. Not a criticism, but a comment. The toilet was poised for a small child - so low to the floor.

Adorable Motel
My family (kids& dogs) stayed one night at this charming old world roadside motel. There is no desk staff on the property but the check in process was very easy, they sent a very informative text message prior to our stay. The rooms have been thoughtfully updated while maintaining that vintage charm. The location is a short drive to downtown Algoma. We went to breakfast at Caffé Tlazo, which I would highly recommend. I would be happy to stay here again.

This is an excellent motel for the price. We went there becuase it includes a twin bed. I have 3 teenagers so it was awesome they did not all have to cram into one bed!!
We went on a road trip to Door County and this was the most afforadble motel we could find. We were 20 minutes from Sturgeon Bay and 40 minutes from other towns. It was well worth the money.

Clean, quiet, welcoming motel - stayed many times in past. Nice accommodations for fishing (able to use docks for fee - but nice to wake up and not trailer boat). One negative is not being able to check in until 3PM in afternoon?

We absolutely loved our stay at The River Hills Motel in Algoma. The room was spotless, and everything felt well cared for. Check-in and check-out were a breeze—super easy and hassle-free. The location is great if you want to be close to Door County without the crowds.
One of the highlights was waking up in the morning and seeing hummingbirds fluttering around the hanging flowers outside—such a simple but beautiful touch that made the place feel extra special. It’s peaceful, charming, and clearly run with pride. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and affordable place to stay.
