Just stopping for the night on the way to Myrtle Beach with the family. The staff at check in was very nice and welcoming. Great room, great price and breakfast was great!

Hotel was right next to interstate & very noisy throughout the night with traffic. Our room was at the end of hall next to outside door. Door slammed quite a lot during late night & early morning so also kept us from sleeping. Hotel overall was nice but terrible location.

Rooms were not ready upon check-in. Wait time was over an hour. We encountered similar delays apparent with a lobby full of other guests. With confirmations, you should know in advance how many reserved rooms will need turnaround the day before. Management is not proactive.
Additionally, this Holiday Inn Express appears to be running on a minimalistic budget. First, insufficient staff to conduct the turnaround. Inoperative ice machine. No vending machines in place anywhere indicated. Lobby kiosk grossly understocked; prices not marked. Room mattress uncomfortable and bed too high. No safety mat in shower; slippery.

I requested an accessibility room. Who would put a bed in such a room, that you need a ladder to mount it. Its waist high. Unthinkably moronic.

The room conditions and the hotel in general are in great condition. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It is not a luxury hotel however if you want a safe and clean place to stay in, this is a great choice.

Holiday Inn Express No More
I used to be a Holiday Inn Rewards customer. Now retired, I don't stay at hotels that often, but I think I will now avoid the chain. Last week I ordered a handicap room but got a standard room which was totally unacceptable. This week I got a handicap room, but the window shade was stuck all the way down, and the desk lamp didn't work. This was the same Holiday Inn Express property, so maybe it's just this site. But there are other hotels chains that I've stayed at that are better.

Fair. Moderately priced. Elevator was broke and Expedia did not inform me in advance. We had a lot of baggage to carry up steps. Breakfast was 4 stars. Nothing exceptional, but exceptional attention to the preparation.

Great front desk woman - evening/night shift!
Everything was good. The front desk woman who worked the evening/night shift during the week was amazing! She went above and beyond to make our stay the best.
There is a loud side (road noise) and a quiet side. With a four-day stay, we switched to a room on the quiet side after the first night.

This is an excellent hotel - very clean, modern, with all amenities, good hot breakfast etc. The only downside is that rooms that face the main road get a lot of traffic noise and that is really a problem during the night.
