Adjoining rooms
We booked 2 rooms for two families for a 50th birthday celebration. We requested adjoining rooms but were advised there was no guarantee they could accommodate us. Upon check-in I reiterated my request for adjoining rooms but was given two rooms across the hall from eachother. I’m not one to rock the boat so, while disappointed, I accepted our fate. One of our travel partners thought it was worth trying to get moved in order to get adjoining rooms. When he went to the desk to inquire about the change, he was advised the room next to his was indeed open and they reluctantly switched my room to that one. So while the Holiday Inn knew of our desire for adjoining rooms, because of they policy to not guarantee any special accommodations when booking through a third party site, the staff chose to just blatantly disregard the request DESPITE HAVING ADJOINING ROOMS AVAILABLE. This was such poor customer service in my opinion, and we shouldn’t have had to jump through hoops to have the situation remedied. Despite the rest of the stay being quite lovely, I’m not in a huge hurry to return. Do better, Holiday Inn.
