Fun Downtown Vibes/Great Service
We had the room with head to head Queen beds, it was awesome. The room is simple, but seriously perfectly outfitted with hooks, outlets, and lights where you need them. The shower was large and luxurious. We even had a clothing steamer in room! Only downsides were the bathroom doesn’t have a fan, so gets foggy, but not a huge deal. I also think the place could benefit from some white noise near the elevators as you could hear from the room folks entering/exiting, but it didn’t bother us much! The neighborhood was convenient, and close to some wonderful restaurants (Lou Pecou, Field Guide) and the Marquee. Parking at the hotel was available for charge (worth it) The hotel itself had a a bar with great cocktail options, and a wide menu.

Just Ok.
Friendly staff. No amenities in room. No coffee maker. No ironing board. Quite sparse. Not warm and cozy.

Have stayed twice, would stay again.
I have stayed here twice. Once for business, once for a social outing. My 1st stay (April) was with a queen bed and the temperature in the room was way too warm with no window to open. My 2nd stay (November) was with the 2 double beds with a window to open so the temperature was much more comfortable. The 2 double beds are great for people who want additional privacy and the bathrooms and shower have a great amount of space. My major complaint would be the comfort of the beds. For a new hotel, the beds are extremely hard and very uncomfortable. Never had an issue with noise, either from the lobby (live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights) and/or construction. Friendly staff, although because you check in at the bar can be quite a line-up.

Nice newer fun hotel
Just a nice fun little hotel. New, clean, nice pillows, good size bed. Feels like staying in an IKEA for some reason 😊 we like it, not our first stay

Looks cool but you won’t get much sleep
This is a cool hotel with a unique aesthetics . The staff was great. The room is industrial minimalist which is cool but not super functional. No dressers or nightstand so nowhere lay your phone or put your stuff. Everything goes on the floor. Where the experience really lets you down is the most uncomfortable bed imaginable. A hard futon mattress with a quilted topper. Awful.

2/10 Poor

It's a cross between vintage and new. If you're a generation Zed this place would be perfect for you but if you're a seasoned traveling businessman look for something else this will not do the trick. Rooms are very small no amenities and the dining room has limited menu and the food is horrible along with the s***** service. I've stayed at Holiday Inn Expresses that are superior to this place. I would not recommend this to anybody unless you're under the age of 21.

Pros: staff are lovely, everything is spotless, it's in a great area of the city (close to everything but not too busy), the rooms make excellent use of the space. Cons: for us, this hotel trends too young and boisterous. We know now who the Moxy brand seems to be catering to, and that's great because young carefree people are often a bit oppressed at traditional hotels. HOWEVER, if you don't like music playing outside the front doors until midnight (which may also be outside your room), if a DJ in the lobby isn't top on your list of priorities, and if you're not crazy about sharing your hotel with almost entirely 18-24 year olds, you might want to reconsider. But if this IS what you like, then the Moxy brand is a classy, clean and welcoming brand and you should absolutely go for it.

This property is a glorified hostel! Do not stay here if you're staying for business travel. The in-room desk and a basic fold-out chair is not comfortable at all. There's no closet to hang up your clothes. Room amenities are basic at best, and the fridge made loud noises all night. The front desk staff was nice but that was the only redeeming thing about this hotel. For the price (I paid $366 all in), there are certainly better options in Halifax, especially for work travel.

Couldnt fault the hotel and staff they where both top notch, this hotel is different to your run of the mill hotel so not too everyones liking but we liked it. The only down side is the doors of the rooms, they are heavy and close very loudely from the outside so you can hear anyone exiting there rooms.

This property was great very unique, service was perfect, breakfast was excellent. The rooms are small but everything that you need is there bathroom was well equipped and very clean. The bed was amazing. It's a new hotel and new construction around but it wasn't an issue. Would certainly stay there again.
