Istria is a triangular-shaped peninsula on the north-western part of Croatia. Spanning around 3,600 sq km, it has pristine beaches fronting the Adriatic Sea and rolling hills dotted with medieval towns. Seaside towns of Pula, Rovinj, and Porec are arguably the most visited destinations in Istria, as there are plenty of hotels, restaurants and bars that cater to travellers from all over the world.

Istrian cuisine is a huge draw for most. You can enjoy quality seafood, white truffle and local wines at award-winning restaurants, especially in Pula and Rovinj. For a more traditional setting, head further inland to find hilltop villages – Groznjan and Motovun – where you can explore ancient Roman, gothic, renaissance structures.
