Bratislava, set on the Danube River, serves as Slovakia’s capital and borders both Austria and Hungary. Its Old Town dates back to the 18th century and here you can explore historical landmarks such as the Town Hall, Church of St. Elisabeth, and Bratislava Castle. There’s also the modern UFO Observation Deck, which stands at 100 metres in height, offering panoramic views of the Danube and Bratislava Old Town.

About 13 km west of Bratislava, Devin Castle is one of the oldest structures in Slovakia. The castle ruin occupies a hill above the confluence of the Danube and Morava – resulting in spectacular views of the rivers and surrounding countryside.
