Chastain Park Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheatre within the park of the same name that's one of the oldest outdoor music venues in the city. You can see a variety of different shows here from a wide variety of different genres.

Everybody can find fun at this venue no matter what kind of music you're personally interested in. Most people tend to visit only when there's a show playing, and the length of the show can vary wildly depending on the event, though the surrounding park can warrant at least an hour or so to explore.

Chastain Park Amphitheatre highlights

The Chastain Park Amphitheatre showcases incredible artists with a seating capacity of around 6,900 in total. In addition to the designated seats, you'll find lawn seating at the back of the amphitheatre as well, though only a small number of those seats are covered by general admission.

There's a pit area in the amphitheatre that more often than not has tables set up that can be booked in groups of six tickets. If the musician playing asks for a "rock" setup, however, all the tables and chairs are removed to give attendees space to move around to the music.

Good to know when visiting Chastain Park Amphitheatre

When you plan your visit to Chastain Park Amphitheatre, there are a few things to keep in mind. It's only open from April to October most of the time, but even then, the majority of performances are held from late May to early September.

You may want to consider taking public transport or a rideshare to this venue when you visit, as there is very limited parking available. Additionally, traffic tends to be heavy whenever there's a sold-out show for quite a while before and after the performance itself, so plan accordingly.
