The Tabernacle is a mid-size venue for live music and performances, located city centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Found inside a historic former church, the venue hosts a diverse collection of musical and performing-arts events year round, from live music and concert performances to comedy shows and television filming.

Highlights of the Tabernacle

The Tabernacle building is over a century old, originally opening as a church in 1911. Many of the building’s original features were kept during its conversion to a concert hall, adding a unique aesthetic to the venue’s historic charm.

Many big name artists, musicians, and bands have performed at the Tabernacle since its opening in 1996, including Guns N’ Roses, The Blues Brothers, Adele, Eminem, and Bob Dylan. Comedic performers at the Tabernacle have included Cheech & Chong, Lisa Lampenelli, and Bob Saget. The lineup of concerts and performances always has a diverse range of performers.

Good to know when visiting the Tabernacle

Several paid car parks are available in city centre Atlanta near the Tabernacle. The venue can also be easily accessed by Atlanta’s MARTA system, only a 10-minute walk from both the DOME station and the Peachtree Centre station.

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the venue, and bags are subject to search upon entry. The Tabernacle has a no re-entry policy once you’re inside the venue for a ticketed event. It’s recommended that visitors with limited mobility call ahead to the Tabernacle’s Box Office Manager to ensure accessibility needs can be met.
