The Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum & Boyhood Home is a must-visit in the town of Abilene. It was the childhood home of the 34th US president that has since become a complex highlighting his legacy.

It also offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The complex has a total of 5 different buildings, including the presidential library, a museum, a visitor centre, a meditation building, and Eisenhower's old home.

The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve shows off the natural magnificence of Kansas' Great Plains. Located in the Flint Hills region, this preserve holds the last remnants of an area that once encompassed 170 million acres.

The Evel Knievel Museum in Topeka is a great place to learn about the iconic American stuntman. The daredevil wowed audiences for years, as he's known for performing some of history's most death-defying motorcycle stunts. 

Not only can you learn more about his life and tricks, but you'll also be able to explore several artefacts from the legendary daredevil. These include a collection of his motorcycles, helmets, and vibrantly coloured costumes. An on-site 4D experience even lets you jump into the role of Evel Knievel yourself.

The Spencer Museum of Art is the only art gallery in Kansas that boasts a collection of over 45,000 objects. Interestingly enough, these artworks come in a variety of forms rather than focusing on traditional mediums like paintings and sculptures.

Botanica, The Wichita Gardens is a horticultural paradise with 30 vibrant themed gardens. You can see thousands of flowers and trees from over 4,000 species, including hydrangeas, asters, and eryngiums.

Amongst the themed gardens is the Shakespeare Garden, which features the most popular and iconic plants of the Elizabethan era and famous stories.
