The hotel is extremely clean and opulent.
The hotel is in a perfect location to many of the DC sites and Theater district. Easy walking distance to these and some amazing restaurants.

24 Jul 2026The staff went to extremes to make sure we felt safe and appreciated. Safe was due to some other guests who caused a disturbance. This is a very large hotel, yet they front desk remembered me and were very gracious.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided exceptional service, making me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay.
The hotel itself was stunning, with elegant décor, spotless common areas, and a luxurious atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a relaxing visit. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities were thoughtful and high quality.
One of the highlights of my stay was the outstanding dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and there were plenty of options to suit every taste. 27 Jul 2026The stare was great and helpful. The front desk staff especially the lady who checked us in and a gentleman named Lucas. The room was a little smaller than I expected and a little dated, but it was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was clean and nice. The price was very very reasonable for such a nice hotel. Plus they gave us 2 complementary old town trolley tickets and some food credit.
The lobby is beautiful and the restaurant their avenue grill has great food we had the mussels and the kids had several items from the kids’ menu that they loved.
All in all… great hotel and staff with a very good location. Close to the national mall, museums and 2 blocks away from the Whitehorse.

The monument view from the room was a big plus. The best thing about this property is the proximity to all of the attractions. This was right in the heart of DC, which was great for our family.
