6/10 Okay
"We stayed one night to experience the grandeur of the palace. The staff were courteous and the meals were to a high standard that you would expect of such a place. But we felt isolated and little disappointed as it was very quiet and lacked warmt. Hot water was only on at certain times making it more univiting and some parts looked rundown. The ball room was impressive and had nostalgia but we were glad to only stay one night. I'm sure the experience may be better during the high season when it is more busier."

Horseback riding through the hilly terrain, visiting charming castles, and enjoying the vibrant flower displays also add great value for money to your trip. Plus, with the potential for prices to drop during these months, Ooty is a fantastic option for travellers on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for hotels in Ooty, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of securing the best hotel deals. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available via the app allows you to compare room rates and amenities, ensuring you make informed decisions. If prices drop or rooms become available, you could be among the first to know, making it easier to book that spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could potentially help you save on your stay at a hotel in Ooty. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that are likely to be more affordable, assisting you in securing the best possible deal.
  4. Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near major attractions or city centres can provide convenience, but it generally tends to come with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels situated in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You could also look into independent hotels located further out, as they are often more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
