We picked the hotel as we liked the look of the roof top bar so disappointing to find out when we got there that it was closed for refurbishment. Telly in the room did not work and when reported was told they were aware of the issue last week but nothing was done to put this right. Fab breakfast, comfy bed and nice shower.

We booked through the Hotels.com platform. We found out in the hotel that the pool was closed and asked whether the sauna was open. The answer was yes. However, once in the spa the sauna was also closed. This was basically the reason why we booked the hotel in the fitst place and we didn’t get any notification in advance this was the case. This was really a dissapointment and bad customer service. Additionally we couldn’t get anybody from hotels.com on the phone to flag this issue. The rooms and location were “ok”.

The staff was variable. Some exceedingly kind and pleasant but some abrupt. The facility sent me a note the day before arrival indicating there would be construction in the hotel. I told them that it was not excellent of them to send this less than 24 hours before arrival. But we did not experience any noise. The restaurant for breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel was very good.it had easy access to the harbor area which was nice.

Room was fine, but breakfast was highly disappointing and not befitting a hotel of this price. Becon was bleak and yellow, sausages pale and unappealing. Selection very limited.
