I've stayed in many hotels around the world, mostly 4- and 5-star properties, and this is genuinely one of the best 5+ stars hotel I've ever experienced. Period. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, beautiful colonial architecture and historic character is at every inch. Every corner, the suite, the lobby, the spa - feels elegant and full of luxurious and elegant historic feel. The service is consistently outstanding, and everything - from check-in and check-out to the breakfast experience - is being done genuinly with care and high end professionalism. This was my second stay here, and it only confirmed my first impression from the previous year. I'll definitely be coming back. Couldn't recommend it stronger.

We had a wonderful short stay at Raffles recently as part of a stopover in Singapore on our way to New Zealand. We travelled as a family with our two small children (ages 2 and 6 months). We were a bit nervous about staying in such a nice hotel with the kids but the staff were extremely accommodating and we were able to check in early so we could all nap after our flight. The suites are easily big enough for a rollaway bed and a cot and Raffles even provides separate children’s bedding, towels and toiletries - it was very impressive and we felt very welcome. We spent the second day by the pool, which is beautiful and immaculately kept. The staff at the pool bar are worth a special mention as they were particularly helpful, nothing was too much trouble and it never felt pretentious. This really is a very special hotel, and we would recommend it to other families.

It’s an amazing hotel and staff were truly excellent!! That said, it’s a bit stuffy and not sure appropriate for anyone below the age 65. I would highly recommend it to anyone, but do keep in mind the rooms have no view, so they feel almost suffocating.

Fantastic place!

From the time we arrived to the time we left it felt like home away from home. The butler service provided was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them Yu(sp?) and Fitrah really did the hotel proud The staff in Raffles Courtyard were lovely gentlemen also, particularly need to give Rai and Suren praise. Nazir who conducted the free historical tour of the hotel was an amazingly knowledgeable gentleman, well worth taking the tour which lasted 2 hrs, and he apologised for over running on time. Raffles is definitely the place to stay and would highly recommend it.
