The hotel is great, but the location is not very good. Unfortunately there are train tracks right next to the hotel and the train honked its horn multiple times last night which made for a rough nights sleep. That being said: the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the trains though.

This place is so out of character for Modesto it's hilarious. It feels like you're walking through a portal into a different dimension when you step through the door. It's absolutely stunning inside, and everything from the entrance to the rooms to the fitness center was in perfect, beautiful condition. Staff were approachable and helpful, though they don't explain the parking situation very clearly; both I and another guest (we did not travel together, we just got into the same situation at the same time) struggled to figure out how to get access to the parking garage. It's also not very convenient to get from the parking garage back to the hotel; you either have to walk up to the corner and use the crosswalk and back-track, or take the elevator to the third floor to use the skyway, then take the elevator back down to the ground floor. Due to the proximity to the train station it was extremely loud all night. There was a train going by honking the horn at least once an hour. Impossible to get a restful night sleep. When I asked the front desk if they had any quieter rooms he apologized and said “no, you can hear the train from every room in the hotel but the EVEN numbered rooms are slightly quieter” ( I was in room 403). He suggested ear plugs. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the property is also in need of maintenance. Parking is across the street in a city owned lot and is $14 a day.

We had a very good experience in Modesto. The hotel was clean, and the room was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. We used the valet parking service, which was very convenient and made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel also offered an excellent buffet breakfast with a good variety of options. Overall, I was very happy with this experience and would gladly stay here again.
