We had a wonderful stay at John Carver. Parking was always available, close proximity to a convenience store, restaurants, downtown shops. There was a city-wide power outage when we arrived and they were able to keep the wi-fi and amenities working which was fantastic for 3 young boys dying to get in the pool. Staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. There were renovations occurring so not all areas of the hotel were available but still would come back again.

Just spent the weekend with my daughter. Very clean. The staff was great. The pool and arcade were well kept. Great time had by both of us and look forward to returning. If you enjoy walking, this is in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere, minus the small hurricane we were having.

Ok, so our room was pretty clean and the AC worked, but there was no bar latch on the door, just a bolt. The towel bar in front of the sink fell off and theres a $25 charge to use the pool! Or there isnt for guests staying at the hotel, maybe? That was not made clear. The bar and restaurant were not open and they wanted to charge a $25 "amenities" fee when we checked out. I argued we didnt use the pool or the parking lot, or the bar, etc so they did remove that charge...but overall I doubt I'd stay here again. Just felt too much ick

Had a great experience , besides other guest - kids banging on the door knocking and ditching . Tv was not able to connect to Netflix or YouTube recommend brining Roku tv of fire tv stick with you. Room was amazing and the pool was too . Jacuzzi was closed when we went but overall a great experience , I will be back soon !

Place is old but well kept and was under renovation when we visited so was not able to see the Fitness Room and other amenities. They had free snacks and drinks available which I thought was nice.
