There are a lot of great things about this hotel - friendly staff, great food, nice pools.
The problem is that there was no climate control and the hotel room was too hot for sleeping. Room was >25 degrees at night and there was no way to cool it down, as the HVAC has been set to "heat only" for the off-season. The outside temperatures this time of year are typically 19-20 degrees, but a concrete building retains a lot of heat and is far warmer than the outside temperature, especially when the HVAC is set to heat only. Tried leaving the patio door open to cool down the room, but was kept awake by noise, room was light at 6 AM, and was bitten by mosquitoes.
The primary function of a hotel room is to provide a comfortable and restful sleep; the hotel was a failure at this. I'd left exhausted after not getting a decent night sleep during the stay. I brought this to the attention of the front desk twice, and they basically said too bad, it's heat only.
Very frustrating as this would have been a 5 star review if it was possible to set the temperature to get a decent night sleep.
