It’s a good experience and touring the ship is a better experience than we expected. It’s close enough to the restaurants and other attractions of Long Beach by car or free shuttle. Our 2-day stay on the Queen Mary was excellent. We were warned about the thin walls of the ship’s rooms, but both nights were very quiet. The beds were comfortable and the morning Starbucks cafe was a plus. We enjoyed walking the historic ship and the easy access between the ship location and Long Beach downtown and beaches.

The Queen Mary hotel was good. To be honest, we stayed there mainly for a concert, not so much for the queen mary experience. The staff were very nice. The rooms are ok, not a lot of amenities (no fridge, microwave, etc), and our tv remote did not work, but again we were only there for an event. Everything is historical and old, so it’s to be expected that the floor is uneven, there’s no a/c, etc. It was a bit pricy, so I’m not sure we’d stay there again, but I can imagine history buffs would love staying there.
