Good 6.0
Disappointing- Fabulous grounds, tired spaces.
I booked a stay as a relaxing spa break. The stay was fairly expensive - £280 for a suite with no view, very tired surroundings, worn carpets, worn doors and building work going on throughout the hotel. The “spa” was one interior pool that was pretty cold and a tiny sauna. The facilities are in real need of upgrade. The only saving grace is that the grounds are beautiful but the house inside is overpriced and forgettable.

Good but not great
Typically old mansion house. Got moved around a little as my original booking had been given away. A little dated, found 4 dead flies on window sill, breakfast was good, service acceptable.

Exceptional 10.0
Luxury hotel, needs more attention to detail
Lovely hotel although I was surprised at the low level of customer service in some ways. My room radiators weren't working, the bathroom hot tap was faulty and on my last night I found a dead, dehydrated frog on the bedroom floor! I reported the heating issue as it was quite cold in the room and when I returned there was a heater plugged in, effectively warming the room but with an apology or explanation as to what had happened would have been nice. The room was beautiful, the coffee maker was very welcome but my coffee creamer was not replenished. Overall, a luxurious hotel with a beautiful room but just a little more attention to customer service was needed to warrant a 100% positive review.

Lovely spot in Hampshire
Very nice hotel with great facilities (indoor and outdoor swimming pool), lovely building and fantastic gardens all around. Recommended!
