Care re crime
I was burgled overnight, my overnight bag was snatched by the thief forcing open the flimsy door lock. I have emailed the hotel, but have had no reply. IF you stay there, do not leave a ground floor window open even if it is locked! The rest of stay was fine, restaurant was good, comfy bed, just wish id been warned that theres no cctv at the rear of the hotel.

Sets you up for a long onward journey
The hotel was functional, and I would stay again rather than start my trip from an overnight in Folkestone for a long journey. Breakfast really sets you up. The only issue is the fact that you can hear doors slamming and keys rattling along the corridor. But this, given the price and location, is a small negative detail.

By mistake made a booking on a non-refundable rate for the wrong month. Some hotels exercise discretion in such situations and are willing to correct the booking. This hotel wouldn't even discuss. They are technically in their right to do so. But since this interaction is the only one I had with them, my rating is based on this experience.
