Puerto de Mogán is a picturesque resort and fishing village in the municipality of Mogán, set at the mouth of a steep-sided valley on the south-west coast of the island of Gran Canaria.

It attracts many tourists either to stay or on day-visits. Canals linking the marina to the fishing harbour have led to it being nicknamed "Little Venice" or the "Venice of the Canaries". Its beach (Mogán beach or playa de Mogán) has a good reputation. Restaurants and bars fringe the marina and the beach front.

On Fridays there is a very popular market which brings in tourists from all over the island.

Centrally located just 3 minutes walk from the sandy beach, this top floor apartment is suitable for up to 4 adults. Choose to dine on your balcony, or soak up the sun all day long on the roof terrace. If you need to cool down, unwind in the shade under the pergola or cool down in the rooftop shower. Puerto de Mogán, the most westerly holiday resort on Gran Canaria’s southern coast, is a picturesque port, a charming fishing village, a marina and chic holiday destination all rolled into one. The stretch of golden sand on this excellent and well-protected beach, makes it a favourite with families. The clear water is calm and the sea around the breakwater is a great place for snorkelling as there is a variety of fish to spot. Also, visitors can explore the fascinating underwater world by taking a trip on a yellow submarine or spending some time on a deep-sea fishing boat and catch world-record-sized tunas or marlins. There are sunbeds, sunshades, pedalos and canoes for hire and kiosks offering cool drinks and snacks.

This is an up-market holiday resort, aiming to offer quality over quantity for discerning holidaymakers who prefer relaxing surroundings to hustle and bustle.

Away from the beach is a network of canals and bridges, which is why Puerto de Mogán is often described as ‘Little Venice’. Visitors can enjoy a pleasant stroll around the port, where there is a good selection of shops and superb fish restaurants. 

There are places to park on the road as well as a car park close to the beach. Buses run frequently and there is a taxi rank.

Puerto de Mogán is an area with a marine tradition which because of its unique setting and natural beauty, has evolved into one of the most beautiful urban settlements of the Canary Islands. The marina, where many international sailing enthusiasts converge, has 225 moorings and is an excellent sailing spot, making the port of Mogán an unforgettable place.
